Procurement and Capacity Building

SOGEA Internationale had the contract to supply SENELEC, the state operated electrical company in Dakar, Senegal, equipment for the medium and high voltage tensions network.

Studies determined that the sand from the Atlantic Ocean builds up on the entire electric network system for Medium Voltage and High Voltage tensions and needs regular maintenance.

SOGEA supplied insulator washers namely:

• Aerial lift on Navistar International
• Digger Derrick on Navistar International
• Skid-mounted insulator washers on AWD Bedford Chassis

Capacity building:

• In addition to the procurement, SOGEA provided technical specialists to operate the equipment and set up a training program on site and abroad for Senelec technical personnel.
